Women Supporting Women Scotland

Women Supporting Women Scotland is a passionate group who are committed to changing the lives of young women at The King's Trust, helping them gain the skills needed to live, learn and earn.

The group's mission is simple: to provide the right help to nurture, empower and inspire young women in Scotland to build their own futures through employment, self-employment, education or training.

Last year, The King's Trust Scotland helped over 10,000 young people across the country, of whom 37% were young women. While our entrepreneurship and online offerings have an equal gender balance, on many other programmes young women are in the minority. We frequently see women choosing options that enable them to work flexibly. However, in order to truly shift the dial, we must create an environment where they feel comfortable to access all programmes and opportunities.

The Women Supporting Women community has committed to raise £10 million over the next five years to lead a movement of change for young women, ensuring equal access to our youth work and directly transforming thousands of women’s lives.
